A Satisfied Life
Imo in no way should a character that's been around well over 50 years be in their mid thirties so do you think marvel would ever do an event or such where the characters/universe aged in real time? Like we as fans would be able to actually start to grow with the characters as we grow older?

There have been isolated stories like that, but these characters belong to the ages, belong to all generations. It’s selfish to feel like they’re just for you and should age along with you–there are kids coming up behind you who deserve to be able to meet and love these characters in their prime, just as you did. And to flip this around, when did you start reading? If your answer isn’t 1961, then had Stan and company done what you suggest from the beginning, it’s very different versions of these characters you would have first met–and you well might not have connected with them in the same way.
